Sage honored us by visiting one of our chapter meetings. Sage made history when she completed an 11-month deployment as a therapy dog onboard the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford. Our chapter commissioned a local artist to paint portraits of the two veterans for whom the center is named and we raised money to have the paintings professionally framed and hung in the lobby. Working with the other three Virginia Beach chapters we were able to find a baby grand piano that was donated to the center.
